Keep your fingers crossed. We are slated to be open on September 8th. Check back often. I'll update everyone as things happen.

So far, we're accepting the following dental insurance providers:

Blue Cross/Blue Shield

Metlife

Assurant

Delta Dental

If you are needing another carrier, please email me and I'll look into it. Keep in mind the reimbursement may be below the procedure cost and I can not accept it at this time. If you have options regarding the provider you may select, please feel free to email me and I'll find out the difference for you. Typically, this information is not published for the people who pay the premiums and is difficult for me to get but I will try.

Look at the older posts as they provide more information for you. If you were a patient at My Dentist, please email me if you would like to continue treatment.

Update on New Dental Office

The plans have been finalized and the contractors are bringing in their bids. I was told today that the office should be open by late April to early May. This seems to be taking a long time but I know it will all be worth it.

As of yesterday I have been given the opportunity to work in an office down the road from the new location. Please let me know if you need anything and also, email me with your insurance company so I can be sure and sign up ASAP.

FYI, the office will be called "The Village Dentist" since it's in the Prairie Village Shops.

On the Road Again- Dr. Jennifer McAroy (dentist)

To everyone who is keeping up with the changes, I thank you. I have finished my contract at the office on State Ave. in KC, KS and am now building a new office. Currently, I am looking to acquire an existing practice in Olathe, KS but build in Prairie Village, KS.

The timeline for Olathe is within the next month, give or take a week, and Prairie Village built out by March. There is a possibility I will be using another office one day a week until the office in PV opens so if your dental needs are immediate, I will do my best to take care of them. If you can't travel to the temporary office, please let me know.

We will accept more insurance carriers than previously taken so please let me know which ones you belong to and I will contact the companies. If you need to contact me, please feel free to email me or send a comment on the blog- it will reach me.

New Office & Updates- Dr. Jennifer McAroy, DDS

I want to personally thank everyone who has found me after leaving My Dentist in Downtown Kansas City (KC). I realize the raceway in KC, KS is not the closest drive but know that you will get excellent care here.

We are limited on the number of insurance plans we carry but are considering new ones everyday. I am currently scheduled through this office until Dec. 31st, 2009. Please check back often as I am in transition into my own office somewhat near the middle of town. I do have a non-compete clause that has prevented me from relocating near DTKC- sorry for the inconvenience.

If you are having problems or need assistance, please feel free to contact me via the blog or the above number and I will get back with you promptly.

It has been decided recently that the My Dentist location in downtown will remain open for now- fyi.

My Dentist and my new location

News travels fast. My Dentist in downtown Kansas City (KC, MO) is closing it's doors in less than 2 weeks. I've moved out to KC, KS by the raceway. It's just a 13 min drive from downtown on I-70. Please feel free to contact me. I can get your records and have them transferred. Remember, it is your option where you want to seek care but the charge for records duplication may apply.

Delta Dental

Others may be added so don't fret. If you have another carrier, please let me know. I'm making some big decisions right now and if enough people participate in good insurance plans, then I may decide to take them here.

I will be here until December 31st and may continue after that. In case you're curious, I'm thinking about doing one or more of the following:

Teaching at the dental school and working on my days off

Staying full-time out by the raceway

Opening my own full-time practice

This is why it's important to keep in touch- who knows where life will take me and you, of course!

Moving Right Along

October 2nd is my last day at My Dentist in downtown Kansas City, MO. If you would like to follow me, I will most likely be working out by the raceway in KCK (Kansas City, KS). I will follow-up with everyone once it is set in stone.

My other options are still up in the air but there are several situations I'm considering. Yes, we will take insurance and I might be in Independence, MO if all works out as well.
